Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense | Downtown Miami
A well-established insurance defense firm in Downtown Miami is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in first- and third-party property, construction defect, and insurance coverage litigation. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated matters in a supportive environment, with a reasonable 1800-hour billable requirement and some flexibility for occasional remote work, though the position is primarily in-office.
Responsibilities
Defend clients in first- and third-party property, construction defect, and coverage matters Conduct discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for state and federal courts Develop litigation strategies tailored to client objectives Maintain proactive communication with insurers, carriers, and corporate clients Requirements
1+ years of insurance defense litigation experience (first- and third-party property, construction defect, and/or coverage preferred) Strong background in litigation, including drafting motions, depositions, mediations, and hearings Ability to manage a caseload independently while working closely with supervising partners and clients Member of the Florida Bar in good standing What the Firm Offers
