Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
Experience conducting depositions and inspections, appearing in court and arguing motions, and assisting in mediation and trial
Key Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of first-party insurance defense litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation. Analyze and interpret insurance policies, coverage issues, and claim investigations. Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement agreements. Conduct depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties involved in litigation. Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials. Work closely with insurance adjusters, claims representatives, and corporate clients to develop defense strategies. Ensure compliance with Texas insurance laws, court deadlines, and ethical obligations. Provide legal opinions and coverage evaluations to clients.
