Description Of Job : This full-time position is responsible for producing high quality diagnostic radiographs for offenders housed at the Denver Complex. Duties include:
Evaluating radiological orders to determine positioning, test procedure needed and protective measure necessary for diagnostic testing; Operating X-ray machines, fixed and portable, according to established guidelines; Producing high quality radiographs that will assist medical personnel in diagnosing disease processes; Evaluating finished product and equipment according to quality control standards; Scheduling radiological testing necessary to meet needs of offenders and/or test required. Minimum Qualifications :
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist in Radiography; Possess an associate's degree from an accredited institution in Radiologic Technology or other closely related field; One year of professional experience as a Radiology Technologist. Required Competencies :
Self-control, a strong sense of ability to work in stressful, potentially violent situations; Ability to remain alert, emotionally stable, and mentally resilient under pressure; Tolerance to stress, confinement, and high-stakes interaction. Conditions of Employment :
Must be 21 years of age; Possess a valid driver’s license; Possess a high school diploma or GED; Have NO felony convictions.
