The University of North Carolina is seeking a talented and dedicated board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist (open rank) to join our team! Leadership opportunities available for interested candidates! UNC Children’s Hospital is routinely ranked amongst the nation’s best children’s hospitals by U.S. News & World Report with tremendous projected growth including recently passed state legislation to support the creation of a free-standing Children’s Hospital. The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a pediatric anesthesiologist to join our team at UNC’s flagship Children’s Hospital. Our pediatric anesthesiology practice includes all sub-specialties and spans the spectrum from healthy outpatients to complex neonatal surgery. Responsibilities: Provide pediatric anesthesiology services to patients at UNC Children’s Hospital Participate in the education and training of residents and fellows Contribute to the growth and development of the pediatric anesthesiology program Requirements: Medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent) Completion of an ACGME accredited Anesthesiology Residency program Completion of a Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship program (by the anticipated start date) ABA certified or eligible Eligible for licensure in North Carolina Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an academic setting Experience teaching graduate level learners (interns, residents, fellows) Experience working in a team which includes CRNAs, CAAs and collaborating with other services The University is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes all to apply without regard to age, color, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation.
