Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated
Emergency Room Nurse Manager
to lead the daily operations and clinical functions of the Emergency Department at a
Level III Trauma Center . This leadership role oversees
45 direct reports
within a department of
73 FTEs
, ensuring patient-centered care, operational efficiency, and staff engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily workflow, staffing, and operations of the Emergency Department.
Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and standards of care to enhance safety and quality outcomes.
Manage personnel activities including interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff.
Provide consistent leadership and expertise to support the nursing team.
Address patient, visitor, and physician concerns promptly and professionally.
Collaborate across disciplines to improve care delivery and outcomes.
Monitor and evaluate staff performance to ensure compliance with unit-specific standards.
Manage department goals, safety initiatives, and operational workflows.
Qualifications: Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Required
Master’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred
Licensure
Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact State
Certifications
BCLS within 30 days of hire
Experience
Minimum 1–3 years of clinical leadership experience – Required
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing – Required
