Job Description:
As a Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of complex IT projects from initiation to delivery. This role requires an experienced professional adept at independently managing projects involving network, server, or software implementation, PC deployment, and similar initiatives. You will coordinate with IT teams and internal stakeholders to define requirements, assess feasibility, and ensure successful project execution within budget and timeline constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate IT projects, ensuring successful execution from initiation to completion. Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and track progress. Manage change control processes, testing, documentation, and training. Ensure on-time delivery of projects within budget. Perform feasibility and impact assessments to address organizational needs. Coordinate efforts between IT staff and internal partners for project alignment. Monitor IT systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring minimal disruption. Establish performance standards, work methods, and project timelines. Train team members and provide leadership in project management practices. Build and maintain effective relationships within the client organization.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
Extensive knowledge of project management concepts, tools, and processes. Strong technical expertise in IT systems, connectivity, and networking. Proficient in assessing IT systems and resolving service disruptions. Skilled in using personal computers and project management tools. Demonstrated ability to plan and execute assignments independently. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or business. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for the degree. Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in IT.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or business. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for the degree. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. 5-8 years of advanced project management experience preferred.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
