The Vice President of Commercial will be responsible for driving growth, market expansion, and client acquisition within the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar and storage sector. Overview This role will lead business development, structure profitable deals, and build long-term partnerships to strengthen the company’s presence in distributed generation. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute the commercial growth strategy in alignment with organizational goals. Originate and manage a strong pipeline of C&I solar and storage opportunities across rooftop, carport, and ground-mount projects. Structure, negotiate, and close PPAs, EPC agreements, and lease contracts with commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with utilities, developers, financiers, and technology providers. Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, engineering, operations, and legal to ensure projects are both bankable and deliverable. Oversee pricing strategy, risk management, and contract negotiations to maximize margins. Define and track KPIs for revenue, pipeline conversion, project profitability, and team performance. Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing commercial team across sales, marketing, and account management. Qualifications 15+ years of leadership experience in commercial development, with 7+ years in renewable energy (C&I solar preferred). Proven track record of originating and closing large, multi-million-dollar energy transactions. Strong expertise in PPA structures, project finance, and distributed generation markets. In-depth understanding of C&I customer requirements, incentive programs, and renewable energy policy. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, relationship management, and team leadership. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Finance (MBA preferred). Compensation Target base salary:

$225,000 – $250,000 , plus performance-based bonus and competitive benefits. Performance Metrics Deliver annual revenue growth of $25M+ within the C&I division. Successfully execute bankable PPAs and EPC contracts. Expand the customer base and develop strategic partnerships. Achieve strong pipeline conversion and project profitability.
