Position Summary
The Program Manager for TRIO Collegiate Programs - Student Support Services (SSS) is responsible for managing the daily operations of the TRIO SSS program, ensuring compliance with the Higher Education Act, federal TRIO regulations, and institutional policies. This role provides leadership, advising, and academic support coordination for eligible students, focusing on increasing retention, graduation, and graduate/professional school enrollment rates for low-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities. The Program Manager works closely with faculty, academic divisions, financial aid, registrar, housing, and other campus partners to deliver comprehensive services that align with the mandatory SSS program components.
Required Qualifications Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Social Sciences, or related field Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in higher education or student support programs Knowledge of TRIO programs and regulations, or experience serving low-income, first-generation, and/or disabled student populations Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems (e.g., Banner, Blumen) Preferred Qualifications

1. Knowledge of TRIO programs. 2. Experience working with students who are first-generation, low-income and/or students with disabilities. 3. Proven success of effective grant administration and writing. 4. Ability to adhere to federal and College policies and procedures. 5. Proven track record of positive student outcomes. 6. Knowledge of youthful behavior and culture. 7. Knowledge of multi-cultural differences and challenges and ability to effectively work and interact with various cultures. 8. Knowledge of budget management

Program Administration
Oversee daily SSS program operations and ensure compliance with 34 CFR Part 646 regulations Assist with program budget management, procurement, and expense tracking Maintain accurate participant files, eligibility documentation, and service logs in Blumen or similar database Coordinate grant aid disbursement process in collaboration with the Financial Aid Office Prepare required reports, including the TRIO Annual Performance Report (APR) Student Services
Recruit and select eligible participants, ensuring two-thirds meet low-income and first-generation criteria Conduct needs assessments and develop Individual Student Success Plans (ISSPs) for each participant Provide academic advising, course selection guidance, and career/graduate school planning Coordinate tutoring, supplemental instruction, and workshops in study skills, financial literacy, and academic success strategies Organize cultural enrichment activities, graduate school visits, and career development events Collaboration & Partnerships
Serve as liaison to campus offices (Financial Aid, Registrar, Housing, Advising) to secure priority access for SSS participants Collaborate with faculty to identify and support at-risk students Partner with Career Services, Graduate School Offices, and academic departments to provide tailored programming Supervision
Supervise part-time staff, peer mentors, and tutors as assigned Provide guidance and professional development opportunities for SSS team members Compliance & Assessment
Monitor participant academic progress and intervene as needed Track service delivery to meet program objectives and performance measures Participate in federal and institutional program evaluations, audits, and site visits Stay current with TRIO regulations and best practices through professional development and training
