We’re hiring a Program Coordinator for a hybrid opportunity in Boston. This is a 6-month contract role supporting a global energy conference in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where collaboration, creativity, and innovation are highly valued.
In this role, you’ll join the Programming & Innovation team to develop and manage programs that connect industry and academia, highlight emerging technologies, and advance workforce development in the energy sector. The position will require travel to Houston, TX during the conference.
There is no application deadline for this role.
Program Coordinator Responsibilities:
Design and manage a program that promotes industry-academia partnerships and advances talent and technology.
Develop sessions, confirm and coordinate speakers across multiple formats.
Maintain a database of speakers and presenters showcasing academic innovation and partnerships.
Coordinate partner nominations and align faculty research with funding opportunities.
Ensure a seamless experience for participants through clear administration and onboarding.
Support flawless program execution, including onsite staffing.
Collaborate with marketing and media teams to promote participants and content.
Program Coordinator Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
Ability to be on-site in Houston, TX during the conference and several days prior (~10 days total).
Experience in energy, technology, innovation, or academia preferred.
Thrive in a demanding, creative environment.
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with cloud-based event platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Airtable, RainFocus).
