Primary Responsibilities

The Sommelier is responsible for assisting the Restaurant General Manager and Beverage Director in leading the restaurant and staff and in achieving the operational and service goals, managing the performance in accordance with The ‘Quin service standards, and ensuring high member satisfaction and an exceptional dining experience. About This Role

Assisting with the organization of the wine rooms Advise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices Inform guests about different varieties of wines and prices Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware Store open bottles properly to maintain quality and integrity Manage wine cellar and ensure it is fully stocked Decant wine for guests Develop and train staff to learn wine tasting and service Extensive knowledge of wine varietals and which regions produce each type Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries Understanding of the winemaking process Good communication skills Availability to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays Understand all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of services provided Liaise with purchasing department and conduct inventory responsibilities on a daily/weekly basis Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the club, employees, and members Investigate and resolve member glitches regarding service WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or restaurant experience Previous beverage developmental position preferred Startup/opening Of Hotels And Restaurants Experience Preferred Service oriented style with professional presentations skills Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming A strong team player who supports their team and embraces ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the team’s work Excellent oral and written communication skills Detail oriented, excellent prioritization, time management, organizational and follow up skills Demonstrated ability for process excellence and project management Experience Implementing New F&B Concepts Preferred Good financial acumen High School Diploma or equivalent About The Organization
