We are seeking an experienced
Traveling Superintendent
to lead field operations on
heavy civil and underground utility projects , including
water main, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and wastewater pipeline installations . This role requires strong leadership in managing crews, subcontractors, and equipment while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards on multiple job sites across different regions. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise
field crews and subcontractors
on excavation, grading, and underground utility installation projects. Ensure compliance with
plans, specifications, safety standards, and municipal/DOT requirements . Oversee
daily scheduling, equipment use, and manpower allocation
to maintain project productivity. Conduct
site safety meetings, inspections, and enforcement of company safety policies . Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers on scheduling, resource planning, and issue resolution. Monitor work progress, prepare daily logs, and communicate project updates. Manage
quality control and inspections
for underground piping systems, tie-ins, and backfill. Travel to various project locations as assigned (regional and/or multi-state travel required). Qualifications
5+ years of superintendent or field leadership experience
in heavy civil, earthwork, or underground utility construction. Proven ability to manage crews on
water, sewer, storm, and wastewater pipeline projects . Strong understanding of
excavation, trench safety, shoring systems, and utility installation methods . Ability to read and interpret
plans, specifications, and project schedules . Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to
travel regularly
and manage remote projects. OSHA 30 certification (preferred); other safety training a plus. Why Join Us
