Special Election to replace retiring Republican Congressman Mark Green . This election is an extraordinary opportunity to bring new leadership to Congress and fight for the people of Tennessee’s 7th District. The campaign will be headquartered in Nashville, and we are building a dynamic, mission-driven team to execute one of the most competitive campaigns in the country. If you are ready to put your skills to work in a fast-paced, history-making race — we want you on board. The Communications Director will serve as the strategic architect of the campaign’s public narrative in one of the nation’s most closely watched special elections. This leader will craft messaging that resonates with voters across Tennessee’s 7th District, driving earned media coverage, building relationships with press, and ensuring disciplined messaging across all platforms. Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy for the campaign. Serve as on-the-record spokesperson and manage press relations. Draft speeches, op-eds, press releases, and rapid response messaging. Coordinate with the digital and field teams to maintain message consistency. Build relationships with local, state, and national media outlets. Monitor opposition messaging and proactively drive counter-narratives.
Qualifications Proven experience in political communications or media strategy. Strong writing, editing, and rapid response skills. Ability to manage high-pressure, fast-paced environments. Deep understanding of Tennessee’s political and media landscape preferred.
