Assistant Project Manager (APM)
to join their growing team in the Northern Virginia (NoVA) area. With more than 30 years of experience and a legacy of quality, this firm is known for delivering high-profile residential communities across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region.
Job Description
This is an ideal opportunity for candidates early in their construction careers-especially those in their second professional role post-graduation-who are eager to grow with an industry leader. While multifamily construction experience is a strong advantage, candidates with commercial construction backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
The Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily - NoVa will be responsible for:
Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout Assist with subcontractor coordination, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and scheduling Help maintain accurate project documentation and reporting Ensure compliance with project specifications, budgets, and timelines Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain quality and safety standards Attend project meetings and site visits as needed across DMV-area job sites MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily - NoVa will have:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred 1-3 years of relevant construction experience; multifamily strongly preferred but not required Strong organizational and communication skills Familiarity with construction software and document control processes Team-oriented mindset with a desire to grow into a leadership role Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple project demands What's on Offer
The Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily - NoVa will receive:
Competitive base salary of $85,000 - $95,000 depending on experience Projects ranging from $60M to $200M in value across wood-frame, concrete, and steel structures Opportunities to work on award-winning developments across the DMV Tremendous in-house training and professional development programs Education assistance for continuing degree programs Provided tech package including cell phone, laptop, and tablet Full medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with employer match
