Job Description
This role is a great fit for candidates early in their construction careers, especially those in their second role post-graduation, who are motivated to grow with a well-established industry leader. While multifamily experience is a strong plus, candidates with commercial construction backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
The Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily - NoVa will be responsible for:
Supporting the Project Manager and Superintendent through all phases of construction, from preconstruction to closeout Assisting with subcontractor coordination, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and scheduling to keep projects on track Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting for clear communication across teams Ensuring compliance with project specifications, budgets, and timelines while learning best practices Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to uphold quality and safety standards Participating in project meetings and site visits across DMV-area projects to gain hands-on experience MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily - NoVa will have:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) 1-3 years of construction experience; multifamily experience a plus but not required Excellent organizational skills and clear communication abilities Working knowledge of construction software and document management tools Collaborative, team-focused mindset with ambition to grow into leadership Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities What's on Offer
The Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily - NoVa will receive:
Competitive base salary of $85,000-$95,000, based on experience Hands-on experience with $60M-$200M projects across wood-frame, concrete, and steel Opportunities to contribute to award-winning developments throughout the DMV Comprehensive in-house training and professional development programs Education assistance for continuing degree programs Tech package provided, including cell phone, laptop, and tablet Full medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage 401(k) plan with employer match
