Google is seeking a Strategic Negotiator for its Data Center team in various locations including Atlanta, GA, USA; Austin, TX, USA; Addison, TX, USA; Kirkland, WA, USA; Reston, VA, USA; San Francisco, CA, USA; Sunnyvale, CA, USA; and Thornton, CO, USA. Responsibilities: Manage key stakeholders, critical issues, and market trends at both the state and regional levels. Lead and motivate a team in solving multi-stakeholder challenges in ambiguous environments. Lead teams to achieve desired outcomes in regulatory and legislative arenas through the development and participation of stakeholder coalitions. Manage a team working on clean energy policy and regulatory matters, with a focus on electric utilities, rate design and analysis, and related topics. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience leading negotiations or business development. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in real estate development, evaluation, acquisition, construction, and site selection for projects. Experience with power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, data center technology, electrical and cooling technology, or other related technical areas. Experience in financial modeling and implementing clean energy initiatives, and with managing utility agreements and energy-related issues. Experience in indirect taxes, economic development policy, infrastructure development, agreement drafting, presentation development, and with data center real estate markets. Ability to propose commercially and technically creative solutions. Ability to work in ambiguous, collaborative, and fast-paced environments. Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
