Travel Nurse Job Details Healthcare Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), rotating between ICU and step-down units Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/15/2025 – End: 12/15/2025) Nursing Shift: 12-hour days, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM, every other weekend required Unit Size: 42 beds (22 ICU, 20 Step Down) Patient Ratios: ICU: 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 (acuity-based); EMR System: Cerner CVICU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must reside more than 50 miles from facility; local candidates not accepted) Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience caring for critically ill cardiothoracic and vascular patients Proficiency in invasive line monitoring, central lines, ventilators, chest tubes, vasoactive drips, and bedside procedures Ability to float to other ICUs within the hospital Must attach required nursing license and certifications with application Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in CVICU and step-down units Assist with bedside procedures and respond to medical emergencies Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float to other intensive care units as required Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EMR Join our healthcare team in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and make a difference in the lives of patients while enjoying all the amenities this thriving Midwest city has to offer.
