Overview

Position: Prepared Foods Team Member (Deli Service Counter & Culinary Venues) - Part Time / Bakery Team Member - Guest Service Representative/Crafter

This is a part-time position responsible for baking products according to standards and processing/packaging/stocking Fresh Foods products according to Fresh Foods Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage.

Base pay range

$15.45/hr - $15.45/hr

Responsibilities

• Bake products according to standards.
• Process, package, and stock Fresh Foods products according to Fresh Foods Standards.
• Clean work areas and maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
• Provide customer service and assist customers as needed.
• Unload stock and reload salvage as required.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English; ability to write simple correspondence in English; ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings to English-speaking customers and associates.
• Mathematical skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations using American money and weight measurements.
• Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and handle problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.
• Physical demands: Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach with arms, talk or hear; lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally; vision requirements as specified, including close vision, color, and depth perception.
• Work environment: Moderate environment with exposure to hot/cold settings, moving parts, fumes or particles, and chemicals; noise level typically moderate to loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made available as needed.

• Compensation: Harris Teeter expects to pay between $15.45/hour and $22.00/hour for this role as a newly hired associate; pay may depend on prior experience and skill sets.
