Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst – Cybersecurity Engineer (25-034) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations and manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems. The role involves tuning and optimizing cybersecurity tools such as ESS, Elastic, ConfigOS, and Tanium to enhance system performance and threat detection capabilities. Essential Functions: Responsible for creating custom dashboards to visualize security data, ensuring quick identification of issues and trends. Integrate various security products, ensuring seamless communication and data flow across the infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to these tools, as well as manage upgrades and deployments to ensure the latest features and security patches are implemented effectively. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s STEM degree in a related discipline and 3 years of experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered. Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application. DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II / IAM Level I or higher (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, CGRC, Cloud+) is required to start. Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs. Must have experience in Windows/RHEL System administration, installing, tuning, and troubleshooting Cyber Tools, including: ESS/HBSS ConfigOS Splunk/Elastic Configuring, running, and scripting audit tools. Knowledge of Software Assurance ( SwA ) static and dynamic code analysis (e.g., Fortify ).
