Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer Systems – Test Support SME (25-031) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Schriever Space Force Base, CO. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations and manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. Support test and analysis activities of the Missile Defense National Team for C2BMC Architecture and System Engineering Global. Will work with a multi-contractor team in the development and execution of a comprehensive test and analysis program supporting a capability-based acquisition of the C2BMC Element of the BMDS. Essential Functions: Plan and implement testing of C2BMC and related BMDS software and hardware components and perform post-test data analysis and reporting.

Prepare test objectives and architectures and support writing of test and analysis plans/procedures.

Must have experience with DoD test methodologies and Missile Defense Agency elements or components.

Must have experience participating in system test events, exercises and/or wargames.

Must be able to independently develop test objectives, concepts, architectures, and write and execute test plans and procedures.

Experience with common Data Analysis techniques.

Must be able to work effectively with people within and external to the program.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a

STEM

discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience, or PhD degree with 4 years of related experience.

Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued

Top Secret

security clearance at the time of application.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.

Understanding of DoD and missile defense command and control, battle management, architectures and communications system concepts.

Experience in developing test objectives and related data analysis plans and procedures.

Ability to communicate these concepts across a broad spectrum of audiences.
