Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse
• Location: Lynchburg, Virginia 24501
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital Operating Room (OR)
• Start Dates: 10/22/2025 & 11/3/2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (6:45am – 3:15pm), with evening, night, and weekend call
• Hours per Week: 40
• Orientation: Every other Monday
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1980-$2120

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Scrub and circulate experience required
• Experience with Vascular, Neuro, and da Vinci robotic surgical procedures
• BLS certification (required)
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Ability to precept and support orientees, students, and new hires
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• Local candidates not accepted

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care during surgical procedures
• Scrub and circulate for a variety of cases, including vascular, neuro, and robotic surgeries
• Participate in call rotation (evenings, nights, weekends) as scheduled
• Precept and mentor orientees, students, and new hires to foster a culture of learning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
