Senior Life Safety Systems Drafter / BIM Designer
Jacobs is seeking a Senior Life Safety Systems (LSS) Drafter / BIM Designer to join our team. This hybrid position is ideally based in Austin, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Pittsburgh, PA; or Albany, NY.
Base pay range: $79,200.00/yr – $123,750.00/yr. This range is provided by Jacobs. Your exact pay will be based on your skills and experience. The base salary range is further described in the job posting. The position may be paid hourly within this range based on hours worked.

You’ll contribute to world-class designs for semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state-of-the-art facilities, focusing on Life Safety and Security Systems for our clients’ advanced facilities.
Your impact: You will perform computer-aided drafting and design of Life Safety and Security Systems, and contribute to the delivery of complex packages in coordination with multi-discipline engineers and design leads as part of our Life Safety Systems delivery team. You will create 3D BIM models using AutoCAD and Revit MEP, coordinating with architects and engineers, and assist with layouts for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, and Security/Intrusion Detection systems.

Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent
At least 10 years of AutoCAD experience (preferably Revit)
Preferred qualifications
3–5 years of systems design experience
Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
Knowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems and manufacturer’s equipment
Industrial design experience
Autodesk Certification Professional ACP or other drafting technologies certifications
