Staff Engineer RF Microwave Design

with demonstrated ability to support our innovative MDA team in support of emerging supercomputing technologies. What You’ll Get To Do Superconducting electronics form the core of our technology, with a focus on energy-efficient computation using our patented superconducting digital logic technology, Reciprocal Quantum Logic (RQL). On a gate-for-gate basis, RQL consumes orders of magnitude less power than CMOS while running at significantly higher clock speeds. As an RF Design Engineer on our team, you’ll work alongside physicists, circuit design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to develop these technologies into reality. Related job functions include: Designing, modeling, and verifying RF, microwave, and mixed signal subsystem assemblies Support verification efforts for RF, Analog, and Digital hardware designs Collaborating with peer functions such as Mechanical, Manufacturing, Test, and IC design Engineers Deriving and trading requirements with subsystem engineers and component level designers Working directly with component level design peers developing custom RF integrated circuit designs to meet assembly-level requirements This position will serve 100% on-site in Linthicum, MD or Annapolis Junction, MD. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable STEM degree and a minimum of 12 years of relevant engineering experience, 10 years of experience with Master\'s degree, or 8 years of experience with PhD Working knowledge of HFSS or COMSOL simulation tool Prior experience working with electronics, mechanical requirements, and schematic drawings Must be willing to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI with Poly Security Clearance US Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications

Expert proficiency with industry standard RF/Microwave modeling, simulation and PCB design tools (e.g. Keysight ADS, Xpedition, Altium) Well versed in EM tools for modeling RF packaging effects (CST Studio, Sonnet, ADS, HSPICE, SI-Wave, Sigrity) Experience with spectrum and network analyzer techniques for EMC measurements Prior experience with packaging technologies (e.g. ceramic and laminate chip-level packages, PCBs, interposers, wire bonding) Experience with Cryogenic test stands, superconductivity and mechanical CTE Ability to provide solutions to a broad variety of RF/Microwave design and test related problems of complex difficulty Salary

Primary Level Salary Range: $163,200.00 - $244,800.00. This range represents a general guideline; actual offers depend on scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may apply. Long Term Incentives may be available for VP/Director roles.
