3D Scanning & Digital Twin Solutions | Matterport & LiDAR for AEC, CRE, and Businesses Nationwide Job Overview The Digital Imaging Site Surveyor will conduct comprehensive site surveys using imaging and measurement tools, including LiDAR scanners, Matterport 3D scanners, 360° cameras, UAVs (drones), laser measurement devices, and other specialized field equipment. This role involves capturing precise 3D scans, 360 imagery, aerial surveys, and organizing structured data to support client projects across a range of industries. The position requires frequent travel across the U.S. and the opportunity to work in diverse environments, from iconic historical spaces to industrial sites. The candidate will upload collected data to designated platforms, ensuring it is organized, accessible, and meets client specifications for review and use. Punctuality and thoroughness in logging site data and following written procedures are essential. Location : Must be able to report to the Chicago, IL office. Conduct comprehensive site surveys using LiDAR, Matterport 3D scanners, 360° cameras, UAVs, and other field equipment. Capture and organize precise 3D scans, 360 imagery, and aerial surveys in alignment with project specifications. Upload, organize, and maintain data on designated platforms for client review and use. Follow written procedures and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across projects. Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or higher education Travel : 50–80% overnight travel required each month; ability to spend several days on the road Work Scheduling : Daylight hours with rotating rest cycles; occasional overnight/weekend shifts; quarterly scheduling with some last-minute changes; willingness to work mandatory overtime as needed Physical Ability : Comfortable with extended walking/standing, ladder use, flat roof access; able to lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs irregularly Environment : Willingness to work outdoors and in spaces without active climate control Technical Skills : Proficient with basic computing platforms and mobile apps; strong problem-solving and technical aptitude Attention to Detail : Ability to follow workflows with precise requirements Driving : Valid driver’s license with a clean record; reliable vehicle for local work; company vehicle prioritized when available Background Check : No felony convictions or misdemeanors related to theft, violence, or dishonesty Certification : Must obtain Part 107 FAA Drone Certification within 45 days of hire Preferred Qualifications
Education : Associate’s degree, trade school training, or military experience preferred UAV Experience : Part 107 UAS FAA Drone License with at least 1 year of flight experience Experience : Prior experience in 3D reality capture, construction, technical trades, surveying, building inspection, facilities management, or related fields; ability to work independently with a strong technical background Work Background : Experience with shift work, on-call, and/or travel; open to diverse backgrounds with detail orientation and reliability Benefits
