This position is with the Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) Mission Systems Emerging Capabilities Development area, within the Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) near Baltimore, MD, where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production as well as emerging programs. ATL works with Si, SiGe, GaAs, and SiC processes in a Class 100 wafer fabrication cleanroom. Responsibilities
The Semiconductor Process Integration Engineer will focus on Superconducting Electronics with opportunities to connect with multiple advanced technologies. Understand basic semiconductor processing, especially Back End of Line (BEOL) process integration, with knowledge of yield improvement and defect reduction. Demonstrate aptitude for hands-on laboratory and experimental work. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills. Support program execution for programs within the Micro Systems Technologies portfolio as needed. Collaborate with multiple shifts in a 24-7 environment and interface with multiple foundry groups daily. Shift and work scope:
This position will work 2nd shift (Wednesday–Saturday or Sunday–Wednesday, 2-10pm EST). Qualifications
Basic Qualifications For Principal Semiconductor Process Integration Engineer Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Microelectronics, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics or related STEM with 5 years of relevant experience; Master’s with 3 years; PhD with 1 year. Understanding of basic semiconductor processing, BEOL process integration. Experience with DOE, JMP and statistical analysis; experience working with large datasets. Experience with process improvement. Ability to work Off-centered 2nd shift and interface with multiple shifts in a 24-7 environment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance; U.S. Citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications For Sr. Semiconductor Process Integration Engineer TS/ SCI clearance; semiconductor processing, analog and microwave circuits experience; FEOL, BEOL, Far-BEOL fabrication experience. Experience analyzing devices (MOSFETs, Josephson Junctions). Salary Primary Level Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $131,000.00 - $196,700.00 The above salary ranges are general guidelines. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
