Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions. The Role
The Corp-DDS team is looking for a mid-level to Senior Data Flow Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities include design, implementation, and troubleshooting of large, complex data flows using the NiagaraFiles software application. Evaluate existing data flows to optimize performance and ensure compliance. Interface with leadership to advise on future hardware/software needs to meet expanding system performance requirements. Provide technical support in a Linux environment (software installation, problem resolution, network support) related to hardware, virtual systems, and the NiagaraFiles software. Evaluate data formatting or software issues affecting data flows and collaborate with Engineers and developers to identify solutions. Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain complex, large-scale data flows leveraging the NiagaraFiles software application. Diagnose and troubleshoot data flow issues to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with established standards. Conduct evaluations of existing data flows, recommending and implementing performance optimizations. Partner with leadership to assess future system demands, providing recommendations on hardware and software upgrades to support scalability. Deliver technical support in a Linux environment, including software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and network support across hardware, virtual systems, and NiagaraFiles. Analyze data formatting and software issues impacting data flows, collaborating with engineers and developers to implement effective solutions. Provide customer-facing support, addressing data flow questions and ensuring smooth mission operations. Additional Requirements
Participate in a rotating on-call support schedule (approximately one week every 6-8 weeks), with occasional on-site response for critical system issues. Qualifications
Seventeen (17) years experience as a Systems Engineer in programs of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required. Compensation and Benefits
Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by factors including scope and responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, geographic location, and contract considerations. Overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may apply. EEO
