CV Resources has partnered with a fast-growing manufacturing client in Creswell, OR in search of a VP of Accounting. The role is a strategic financial leader responsible for managing all aspects of accounting operations within a global manufacturing environment, overseeing the accounting function across multiple domestic and international entities, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, statutory reporting requirements, and corporate policies. The VP will drive process improvement, strengthen internal controls, and provide financial insights to support operational excellence, scalability, and profitability in a complex, multi-jurisdiction environment.
Overview
Executive role focused on leading accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting across domestic and international entities. Responsibilities
Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across domestic and international entities. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and consistency across entities. Oversee preparation of management reports, variance analyses, and key performance metrics for executive leadership. Manufacturing Accounting & Cost Control
Direct the costing function, including standard costing, variance analysis, and margin analysis. Oversee inventory valuation, physical counts, and reconciliations. Partner with Operations to monitor production costs, analyze manufacturing variances, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Support supply chain and production teams with financial insights to optimize pricing, sourcing, and resource allocation. International Accounting & Compliance
Manage financial operations for international subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements. Coordinate with local finance teams and external auditors to complete statutory audits and filings. Oversee foreign currency translation, intercompany reconciliations, and transfer pricing policies. Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure global tax compliance and optimization. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making. Act as a key advisor to the CFO and executive team on accounting, compliance, and operational finance matters. Audit & Compliance
Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring timely completion of audits. Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and drive continuous improvement in control processes. Monitor compliance with debt covenants, banking agreements, and corporate policies. Qualifications
Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong background in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, and inventory management in at least $100M in revenue. Proven experience managing international accounting operations across multiple jurisdictions. Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with IFRS/local statutory reporting requirements.
