Financial Analyst III, Decision Support at Seattle Children's. Lead and perform financial analysis, planning, and reporting of hospital operations, including operating and capital budget planning, closing and performance monitoring, revenue/charge management, cost accounting, benchmarking, government reporting, decision support system development and maintenance, and related activities to provide accurate and timely information to management and stakeholders. The role supports gathering business requirements, applies knowledge of business/clinical processes, and collaborates with key stakeholders, end users and project teams. The incumbent identifies and resolves issues during analytical solution development and seeks opportunities for continuous improvement in workflow processes. As Workday is implemented, this role will be foundational to decision support, cost accounting, and financial planning functions to ensure continuity, integrity, and innovation in financial analytics. This position leads and conducts complex financial analysis, planning, and reporting for the hospital division and will serve as the primary owner of the Strata EPSi decision support system, including daily maintenance and long-term strategic development. The role partners with finance leadership, clinical stakeholders, and the Workday implementation team to translate complex data into actionable insights and help shape future financial processes at Seattle Children's. Lead and perform financial analysis, planning, and reporting for hospital operations, including operating and capital budgets, closing, and performance monitoring. Manage revenue/charge processes, cost accounting, benchmarking, government reporting, and the development/maintenance of decision support systems. Gather business requirements and provide expertise in business/clinical processes; collaborate with stakeholders, end users, and project teams. Identify and resolve issues in analytical solution development; pursue continuous improvement opportunities in workflows and processes. Serve as primary owner of Strata EPSi decision support system, overseeing daily maintenance and long-term strategic development. Partner with finance leadership, clinical stakeholders, and the Workday implementation team to translate complex data into actionable insights and guide financial process improvements. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, or decision support. Minimum of three (3) years of direct, hands-on experience as a power user or system administrator for Strata EPSi in a hospital or healthcare system. Proven understanding of healthcare cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling). Preferred

M.B.A., MHA degree, or similar. Experience managing medium to large projects using standard project management skills, tools, and methodologies. Experience maintaining decision support systems or other financial applications; familiarity with health care cost accounting principles, benchmarking, and reimbursement methodologies, including Charge Description Master. Experience with Cerner, Epic, or similar software; experience with Workday Financials during implementation or major upgrade. Experience in a pediatric hospital and/or academic research environment. Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent with strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders in a complex environment. Familiarity with SQL for data querying and analysis. Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI). Compensation

Salary Range: $97,665.00 - $146,497.00 per year Salary Information

This compensation range is based on full-time employment (2080 hours per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided. Disclaimer for Out of State Applicants
