This position is on-site at the JH Bayview Medical Center. Must reside within commuting distance to Baltimore, MD. A remote work arrangement is not an option for this role. Summary
The Financial Analyst will report to the FP&A Manager. Their primary purpose is to ensure that the financial health and operational efficiency are maintained by analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing strategic recommendations to support key decision-making processes within the Bayview Medical Center Finance Department. At least two years of experience in financial and administrative positions, preferably in a medical setting. Demonstrates knowledge in financial analysis/modeling. Experience with EPSI, Strata, and other financial systems (preferred) Education
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent finance experience. Healthcare or comparable experience. Responsibilities
Assist with financial analysis for strategic initiatives, capital projects, and business planning for the BMC Finance Department Designs financial and operational analytic models to evaluate hospital activity and performance. Analyzes/investigates actual-to-budget variances and describes variances by rate, volume, and service mix. Post journal entries and budget adjustments as required for the financial close. Maintain summaries for all contracts with key performance dates and targets. Collaborate with senior financial planning on improving and streamlining departmental processes and reporting. Prepare financial reports for senior leadership and department heads, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators. In collaboration with service lines and Strategic Finance, assist in preparing multi-year business plans for new clinical programs that include volume, payer, revenue, expense, capital, and ROI assumptions. Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and evaluation of business plans. Work with operations to develop action plans for under-performing services. Participate in the annual review of products, RVUs, volumes, and fixed / variable splits for the cost accounting and flexible budgeting systems. Compensation
Salary Range: $37.04/hour - $61.16/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. Additional Information
