This role will be responsible for
Partnering with the current Production Manager to oversee daily operations and long-term production planning
Leading and motivating production teams to achieve quality and efficiency goals
Managing plant production schedules, ensuring optimal growth and timely order fulfillment
Coordinating resources and workflow to meet customer and organizational needs
Developing strategies for innovation and process improvement in plant production
Expectations will include
Learning all aspects of the production department to ensure a smooth leadership transition
Applying technical and practical horticultural expertise to production operations
Maintaining strong collaboration with other department leaders and staff
Inspiring and empowering the production team to meet and exceed performance goals
Embracing flexibility and creative problem-solving when faced with challenges
A qualified candidate will possess the following
Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or a closely related field
A minimum of 5 years of professional production and management experience
Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills
A passion for horticulture and continuous learning
A collaborative mindset with the ability to adapt and remain solution-oriented
Compensation : Will depend on experience, so targeting a competitive compensation package for someone with the right experience.
