Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Sustaining Engineer - Electrical to join their team. As a Sustaining Engineer - Electrical, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Electrical Sustaining team. $80 per hour Responsibilities
Own corrective action development for electrical subsystems, from root cause confirmation through fleet-wide implementation Lead design updates for components such as connectors, harnesses, modules, and sensor integrations Partner with suppliers to deliver durable, manufacturable, and serviceable component improvements Author and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Change Actions (CAs), and develop subsystem validation and test plans Lead fleet trials and analyze post-release performance to verify long-term effectiveness of implemented changes Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred) 6–8 years of experience in electrical systems engineering within product design and manufacturing environments Proven track record of implementing reliability or serviceability improvements in complex electro-mechanical systems Strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools (preferably CATIA) and electrical design tools (Altium a plus) Experience with DFMEA, root cause analysis, and validation testing for electrical systems What’s in it for me?
