Responsibilities
Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as a theorist and designer.
Develop solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software.
Develop and deploy predictive machine learning models to estimate the severity of insurance claims early in the claim’s life cycle using Python, PySpark, and Azure.
Improve information retrieval systems using named entity recognition (NER), Generative AI (Flan-T5, Gemini, ChatGPT) and transformer-based models (BERT).
Research and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) powered LLMs, using vector databases (FAISS), quantization, and fine-tuning (LoRA) to improve feature extraction from unstructured data.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Statistics, or Mathematics, or equivalent.
Permanent US work authorization required.
