Operations Analyst/Aerospace The Operations Analyst plays a pivotal role in monitoring shop floor activity, ensuring timely communication with internal stakeholders, and supporting operational planning through data analysis. This position combines hands-on operational insight with strong analytical and reporting skills to improve scheduling, resource allocation, and overall workflow efficiency. The analyst provides data-driven recommendations, creates insightful reports and dashboards, and identifies process bottlenecks to optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and track all work-in-progress on the shop floor, providing real-time visibility to relevant stakeholders. Communicate operational KPIs and status updates to internal teams and leadership to align production efforts with organizational goals. Partner with department managers to optimize scheduling and resource planning, prioritizing based on sales targets, customer needs, and parts availability. Integrate procurement data into dynamic planning tools to deliver accurate parts availability forecasts. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (Power BI, Excel) to highlight performance trends, risks, and operational progress. Identify and implement process improvements to reduce delays, enhance workflows, and improve team productivity. Support change management initiatives by documenting operational processes, training staff, and standardizing reporting practices. Facilitate coordination between operations, sales, and customer service to ensure effective daily execution and alignment with long-term business objectives.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience:
1–3 years in operations, supply chain, or related industry. Experience with production tracking, data analysis, or reporting is preferred. Skills:
Strong cross-functional communication and organizational abilities; analytical mindset; ability to turn data into actionable insights; proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, basic VBA/macros) and PowerPoint; experience with SQL, Power BI, Power Query, and data visualization tools; understanding of data structures and legacy systems (e.g., FoxPro), including extracting data via ODBC connections. Bonus Skills:
Familiarity with Power Automate and Python; experience with ERP or MRO systems; exposure to cloud platforms or databases (Azure, AWS, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle).
