Travel Nurse Job Details

Location:

Troy, NY 12180 (New York healthcare jobs)

Healthcare Setting:

Burdett Birth Center – Labor & Delivery (LDRP Model Level 1)

Assignment Length:

13 weeks (October 12, 2025 – January 10, 2026)

Nursing Shift:

12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Hours per Week:

36

Estimated Weekly Salary:

$2050-$2200

Holiday/Weekend Requirement:

Every other weekend; priority for Thanksgiving night, Christmas Eve night, Christmas night, and New Year's Eve night (details discussed upon contract extension)

Floating:

Required between St. Peter’s Hospital and Burdett Birth Center

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, C-EFM

Ability to float between healthcare facilities as needed

Completion of all onboarding health and competency requirements

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods

Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including fetal heart rate and vital signs

Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed

Coach and support patients through the childbirth process

Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries

Educate families on infant care and postpartum recovery

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
