Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location:

Brooklyn, Maryland (21225) – Convenient to Baltimore healthcare opportunities and local attractions

Assignment Length:

13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025, End: 1/5/2026)

Shift:

12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week

Weekly Hours:

Estimated Weekly Salary Range:

$1710–$1830

1:1–2

Weekend/On-Call:

Every other weekend; 2 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Charge nurse and preceptor experience required

BLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN certifications required

Must hold or obtain C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) within 2 weeks of start date

Preferred: ACLS, STABLE, C-EFM through NCC, community hospital and Trauma Level I experience

Two (2) supervisor references required

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care patients

Circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk labor and delivery cases

Perform and interpret fetal monitoring, APGAR scoring, and newborn assessments

Float as needed to Postpartum/Couplet Care and feeder/grower assignments in Level II NICU

Serve as charge nurse and preceptor for new staff and travel nurses

Support breastfeeding, lactation, and provide patient and family education

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as scheduled
