Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of neuro nursing experience (Neuro RN)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Responsibilities
- Manage care for neuro patients during assigned shifts
- Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Implement nursing interventions and neuro-specific procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation for all patient care activities
- Evaluate and modify care plans based on patient needs
- Promote patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Support professional development of peers and provide constructive feedback
- Fulfill departmental competencies and participate in ongoing learning
