Position Summary The National Account Manager will be responsible for leading and expanding relationships with key natural and regional retail partners across the U.S. This role will focus on developing tailored sales strategies, managing retail broker partnerships, and driving distribution and growth across assigned accounts. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven, strategic thinker with a passion for natural, plant-based, or better-for-you food brands and a proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to make a significant impact within a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business. Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders across national, regional, and natural retail accounts. Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans and account strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and distribution goals. Manage and leverage a network of retail brokers to increase distribution, optimize shelf presence, and drive brand visibility. Identify and pursue new opportunities for category expansion and product placement. Collaborate with Marketing and Trade teams to develop and implement promotional programs that drive trial, awareness, and incremental sales. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional terms to secure sustainable, profitable growth. Serve as the primary point of contact for retail accounts, ensuring alignment on business objectives, execution, and performance metrics. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and Product Development to ensure seamless execution of customer programs. Analyze syndicated data and customer insights to inform account strategies and identify growth opportunities. Provide accurate sales forecasts, track performance KPIs, and adjust strategies to ensure achievement of sales targets. Represent the company at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required; MBA a plus. 5–8 years of progressive experience managing national or regional retail accounts within the food, beverage, or CPG industries (branded and/or private label experience preferred). Proven success in developing and executing account strategies that drive sales growth. Experience managing and collaborating with broker networks and third-party partners. Strong understanding of retail operations, category management, and promotional planning. Highly organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM and reporting tools.
