Vice President, Human Resources

— Willow Search Partners client, a PE-backed organization. Location: Westchester, NY (Hybrid). Reports To: CEO. Our client is seeking a strategic HR leader to develop and execute people and safety initiatives aligned with organizational objectives. The VP of HR oversees talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, performance management, compliance, organizational design, culture, and workplace safety. The VP partners closely with executive leadership to attract, retain, and develop top talent and to promote a high-performance, inclusive culture. Compensation

Base pay range: $185,000.00/yr - $215,000.00/yr Additional compensation types: Annual Bonus Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership : Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on human capital matters; develop and implement HR strategies that support growth, efficiency, and culture; lead company-wide safety, risk management, and compliance initiatives; champion organizational values and a positive workplace culture. Human Resources Management : Direct all HR operations (employee relations, compliance, compensation, benefits, HR systems); oversee policy development, handbooks, and procedures for clarity, consistency, and multi-jurisdiction compliance; manage employee relations, performance management, and corrective actions; lead annual performance reviews and compensation planning; partner with Finance and Legal on payroll, total rewards, and compliance. Talent Acquisition & Development : Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning; develop succession planning, leadership development, and retention programs. Safety & Compliance Oversight : Direct safety strategy and programs to ensure OSHA compliance and best practices; oversee safety training, incident reporting, and risk management; partner with operations to foster accountability and safety. Organizational Effectiveness : Lead organizational design and workforce planning aligned with business priorities; utilize HR analytics to guide decision-making and monitor KPIs; drive continuous improvement in HR processes, systems, and technologies; support leadership development, engagement, and change management. Leadership & Culture : Lead and develop the HR team; promote transparent communication, collaboration, and trust; reinforce diversity, equity, and inclusion; perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred. 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior HR role. Experience overseeing HR and workplace safety programs in multi-state operations. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, compliance standards, and HR best practices. Proven ability to build relationships with executives and employees at all levels. Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability and strong business acumen. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented, mission-driven environment. Additional Details

Travel Requirements:
