A globally leading technology company is looking for a

Strategic Sourcing Manager (SSM)

to join its Places Team, supporting the delivery of high-profile retail, campus, and office projects worldwide. In this role, you will own the commercial relationships with Owner Furnished Item (OFI) manufacturing partners, lead cost negotiations, manage supply continuity and risk, and drive operational and cost efficiencies through process and design innovation. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain Development, Construction, Design, and Operations teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery. Responsibilities

Project Management:

Work with a team to manage proposals and change orders for projects.

Scheduling & Logistics:

Track project on-site date requirements and work with vendors to fabricate, deliver, and install on schedule.

Implementation support:

Support and troubleshoot store integration/installation issues worldwide.

Process Improvement:

Develop new methodologies and processes to improve team productivity in key project management tasks.

Supplier Strategy:

Improve existing supplier strategy and support expansion of the supply base.

Supply Chain Strategy:

Develop and implement overall supply chain strategy and manage executive-level relationships with the supply base.

Onboarding & Quality:

Travel as necessary to facilitate new supplier onboarding and ensure quality specifications are met for worldwide supply base.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with SCD and Development for cost and schedule efficiency opportunities.

Procurement Leadership:

Manage resources and drive the distribution of RFPs, contract negotiations and procurement for the commodity worldwide.

Negotiation & Economics:

Exercise individual judgment to lead pricing negotiations with support from cross-functional team members.

Value-Engineering:

Drive value-engineering initiatives for this commodity.

Market Knowledge:

Continuously research and educate on key components and suppliers to review market trends applicable to improving the store environment.

Contracting:

Negotiate contracts with minimal support and management review for key terms and conditions.

Key Qualifications

10-15 years of experience in supply chain development, strategic sourcing, or procurement.

Experience with design, development and construction of Architectural Facades; knowledge of glazing and glass production companies desired.

Procurement experience with construction materials is a plus.

Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Hands-on experience in product development, design, manufacturing practices/techniques (especially laminated glass), vendor management, or supply chain development.

Experience with legal contracts for material and services.

Strong analytical and negotiation skills; ability to toggle between strategic and detail-oriented thinking.

Tenacious problem solving and issue resolution skills.

Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; effective in multinational environments.

Self-starter who can work independently and influence cross-functional teams.

Strong business acumen in managing strategic supply chains, cost models, and complex procurements.

Experience handling detailed negotiations.

Willingness to travel on short notice.
