Overview
The
Wealth Strategist
will serve as OneWell’s in-house financial planning point-person, leading comprehensive planning for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families. This individual will ensure that all aspects of a client’s financial life— retirement, education, insurance, cash flow, tax awareness, philanthropy, and liquidity —are integrated into a cohesive strategy and communicated clearly to clients. This is a
Director-level
opportunity suited for a mid- to senior-career professional who thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and can independently run point on sophisticated client planning. Key Responsibilities
Client Planning & Analysis
Lead the creation and ongoing management of
comprehensive financial plans
covering retirement, education, insurance, liquidity, philanthropy, and cash flow. Perform
advanced cash-flow modeling and scenario analysis
for HNW and UHNW families. Conduct
tax-aware planning , including timing and charitable optimization strategies. Identify estate and trust planning needs and coordinate with internal and external experts as required. Serve as a
key point of contact
for all financial planning matters, supporting the assigned advisor or relationship manager.
Client Meetings & Relationship Support
Participate in and contribute to client and prospect meetings where financial planning is the focus. Ask insightful questions to uncover goals, concerns, and priorities. Present analyses and recommendations in a clear, actionable manner. Coordinate next steps and ensure timely follow-up on planning deliverables.
Integration & Collaboration
Partner closely with the firm’s
estate & trust attorney, CPAs, and insurance professionals
to integrate advice across disciplines. Collaborate with the
CIO and investment team
to ensure alignment between planning strategies and investment portfolios. Maintain the firm’s planning technology and serve as the
primary user
of financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, or equivalent).
Process & Thought Leadership
Help refine and systematize OneWell’s
financial planning process
to ensure scalability and consistency as the client base grows. Develop
client-facing deliverables
— presentations, reports, and planning materials that are polished, strategic, and easy to understand. Contribute to
thought leadership
by generating insights, articles, or presentations on wealth strategy and financial planning topics relevant to HNW and UHNW clients.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Career Level:
5–12 years in financial planning or wealth management, ideally within an RIA, private bank, or planning-centric advisory firm. Education & Credentials:
CFP® strongly preferred; CPA or equivalent tax background a plus. Experience:
Demonstrated success in building and presenting comprehensive financial plans, using planning software as a
primary tool . Orientation:
Analytical and detail-oriented, yet capable of simplifying complex topics for clients. Mindset:
Entrepreneurial, proactive, and collaborative—comfortable building processes from the ground up while thriving in a team-oriented culture. Seniority level
