Buyer (Electronics/Semiconductor Industry)

The Project Buyer will procure electronic components, custom PCBs, and electro-mechanical parts while ensuring adherence to company purchasing procedures and export control regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We\'re looking for someone who: Has 5+ years of buying or procurement experience (EMS experience preferred) Understands ERP systems and purchasing workflows Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing Is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills Meets federally mandated U.S. export control requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected person) Has working knowledge of AS9100-compliant quality systems and AS9102 reporting requirements (Preferred) Has experience working with hardware electronics (Preferred) What you\'ll do: Purchase electronic components, PCBs, and electro-mechanical parts using MRP demand reports and source plans Generate and maintain “Clear to Build” reports for production planning and scheduling Monitor supplier reports for delivery changes and cost updates Manage excess and obsolete inventory, including last-time buys Support material analysis and disposition related to engineering change orders Resolve invoice discrepancies and debit memos with suppliers Provide purchasing-related reports and statistics as required Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure on-time material availability and supplier performance Seniority level
