Position Overview
The Interim Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic leadership and organizational stability during a pivotal executive transition. This hands-on role oversees a dedicated team of leaders and staff, ensuring continued operational excellence and alignment with the organization’s mission and values. The ideal leader will be collaborative, decisive, and compassionate, capable of fostering a culture of inclusivity, continuity, and accountability while supporting the search and onboarding of a permanent CEO. Provide strategic direction and operational oversight to maintain organizational stability during leadership transition. Manage and mentor a team of six direct reports and approximately 50 staff members across departments. Partner closely with the Board of Directors to advance goals, communicate progress, and ensure transparent governance. Sustain a positive, inclusive workplace culture that reflects organizational values and DEI commitments. Oversee financial, operational, and programmatic performance to ensure alignment with mission and strategic objectives. Support and guide the search and onboarding of the incoming permanent CEO. Qualifications
Proven executive leadership experience in nonprofit or mission-driven environments, including oversight of staff, budget, and strategic initiatives. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and adaptive leadership style. Experience managing teams of senior leaders and fostering a cohesive, high-performing culture. This interim leadership role offers a competitive hourly compensation of $125-140 per hour, commensurate with experience. The position is hybrid, requiring 2–3 days per week onsite in Los Angeles, CA. After 30 days of employment, you are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits through Scion Staffing.
