Overview
As an operations supervisor at Wegmans Warehouse, you will be responsible for coordinating tasks and executing daily warehouse operations. You will oversee a team of employees in various roles who are responsible for receiving vendor products and picking orders that will be delivered to our stores. What You'll Do
- Coordinate tasks and execute plans to meet productivity standards
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and communicate productivity status to team
- Hold employees accountable for performance through clear expectations of duties and results
- Ensure cold chain and food safety initiatives are followed, keep food fresh and ensure the highest quality product reaches our stores
- Identify ways to improve operations including reducing expenses, managing inventory, and increasing efficiency and productivity
- Meet the established goals for productivity by making sure that individual and departmental tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of previous experience leading a team
- Computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous distribution center/warehouse experience

Additional Qualifications
Store Operations Leadership experience at a high volume store or other Distribution Experience; Experience at the Team Leader or Specialist level; Experience working in Logistics or related field; Experience with the Warehouse Management System; Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for long periods, some sitting, occasional lifting, some heavy lifting, bending, climbing, and reaching in a variety of warehouse settings in a fast-paced environment. May use power industrial trucks and/or be asked to select product and load trucks (see RSC Selecting, Loading, Inventory). The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. The work environment is indoors and may involve exposure to cold (33° – 55°) and/or freezing (-20° – 20°) temperatures. Protective clothing is provided.
