Consolidated Financial Reporting & External Audit

– Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, ensuring accuracy, compliance with US GAAP, and insightful variance analysis for management. Drive preparation of audit workpapers and coordinate directly with external auditors to ensure efficient, timely completion of the annual audit. Develop, maintain, and communicate accounting policies and technical position memos on complex or judgmental areas. Ensure timely filing of annual reports, resolution of tax notices, and compliance with local and international statutory requirements. Blackline Ownership & Month-End Close

– Serve as the primary “Blackline Owner,” managing system administration, user training, and continuous optimization of account reconciliations, certification workflows, and close task management. Oversee timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations, proactively escalating and resolving reconciling items to maintain a strong control environment. Maintain detailed documentation of close processes, internal controls, and reconciliation standards to support compliance and audit readiness. Fixed Assets and Leases

– Manage accounting for fixed assets, including capitalization, disposals, and maintaining accurate depreciation schedules. Oversee lease accounting, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 and accurate presentation of right-of-use assets and lease liabilities. Partner with external tax advisors to support the preparation of the income tax provision (ASC 740) and ensure accurate reporting of income tax balances. Collaborate on resolution of tax notices and support compliance with local, state, and federal tax requirements. Process Improvement & Systems

– Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and accounting operations by leveraging ERP capabilities (NetSuite) and expanding Blackline automation to increase efficiency and strengthen controls. Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, and other business teams to ensure financial data supports strategic decision-making. Cross-Functional Support & Projects

– Provide ad-hoc analysis, technical accounting guidance, and support to broader Finance and business teams. Participate in special projects, system enhancements, and other initiatives impacting accounting and financial reporting. Qualifications

CPA required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience, including at least 2+ years in public accounting (audit experience strongly preferred). Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards. Experience in SEC reporting, including preparation of 10-K, 10-Q, and related filings. Hands-on experience with fixed assets and lease accounting; familiarity with inventory or merchandising accounting a plus. Understanding of income tax accounting (ASC 740) and ability to collaborate with tax advisors on provision-related matters. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite and Blackline strongly preferred. Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized, with a track record of producing high-quality, accurate work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
