Software Engineer, AI/ML, Computer Vision, Pixel Camera Google is looking for a Software Engineer to work on end-to-end product life cycle for advanced camera features on Pixel Phones, including autofocus, depth computing, and other computational photography features. The Platforms and Devices team covers Google's computing platforms across environments and our first-party devices and services that combine Google AI, software, and hardware.

Responsibilities

Write and test product or system development code.

Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, code quality, testability, efficiency).

Contribute to documentation or educational content and update content based on product changes and user feedback.

Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve issues affecting hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Design and implement computer vision systems, leverage ML infrastructure, and evaluate tradeoffs between algorithms and design techniques.

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.

3 years of experience with computer vision (e.g., image classification and processing, object detection, visual search), video generation, or signal processing.

3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.

1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.

5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.

3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).

1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

Experience with Android application development.

Experience developing accessible technologies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Compensation details listed reflect base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
