Overview Associate Director, Athletics Creative Media — University of Memphis. Campus Location: Main Campus (Memphis, TN).

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of relevant videography experience OR Master’s degree and one (1) year of relevant videography experience.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

The department is especially interested in candidates who have experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Skilled in shooting/editing video and motion graphic design.

Skilled in video shoot setup including lighting and production techniques.

Detailed knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

Knowledge of social media platforms and their video content guidelines and current trends.

Experience with Sony/Canon video cameras and DSLRs.

Responsibilities

Create video and motion graphics content for use on the athletic department’s social media, website, and arena video boards, serving all 19 sports programs with primary and secondary assignments.

Produce content such as sport competitions, fundraisers, community engagement initiatives, and special events; lead intro videos for football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball; assist on other intro videos as assigned.

Create hype videos, athlete features, promotional/marketing materials, and paid elements to engage fans, recruits, stakeholders, and sponsors.

Stay current with trends in athletic digital content and contribute to creative and digital strategies to extend the department’s reach.

Collaborate with marketing, communications, and other areas to ensure alignment and timely distribution of video content across platforms while upholding brand and production quality standards.

Train/develop other departmental creatives, interns, and students in content creation using available equipment and resources.

Schedule students and interns for game coverage and events; ensure work meets brand and quality standards; provide monthly feedback and training sessions for interns and students.

Collaborate with the American Athletic Conference, NCAA, media partners, and local/national news outlets to distribute content that enhances Memphis Athletics visibility.

Coordinate with Learfield Sports to fulfill sponsored digital and video elements based on inventory and availability; generate content ideas for sponsorship inventory.

Assist in maintenance and management of video production equipment and production space; assist in asset management of digital files for future use.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Working conditions and schedule

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with potential non-standard hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and travel with the team.

Physical requirements: Regularly sit, use hands, and talk/hear; frequently walk; may stand, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch; may lift up to 10 pounds; close vision.
