The US Primary Knee Marketing Director is responsible for driving impact in the US Knees market and advancing Smith+Nephew's portfolio and pipeline. The Director will plan and drive downstream marketing strategies and tactics to generate sustained revenue growth in the knee reconstruction market. The role collaborates with Sales Teams, Global Marketing, Medical Education, Sales Training, and Supply Chain to build and implement marketing strategies and execute commercial plans for the primary knee business. The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing background, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the orthopaedics industry. This position supervises two direct reports and is central to the growth of Smith+Nephew. What you will be doing

Develop and complete knee marketing strategies aligned with Smith+Nephew business and growth objectives Develop, guide, and drive go-to-market plans for assigned product lines, including promotions, medical education, digital marketing, channel readiness, inventory requirements, and allocation Lead, mentor, and manage a team of marketing professionals, ensuring alignment with company goals Build a deep understanding of the knee reconstruction market landscape (trends, customer priorities, competitive landscape) to shape the go-to-market approach Build and supervise KPIs for the primary knee portfolio in the US and own remediation to drive deeper market penetration Support annual business planning for the region, partnering with global marketing, sales management, medical education, sales training, digital, and supply planning Lead product lifecycle management strategies and obsolescence initiatives Collaborate with the sales team to define targeting, develop physician champions, and gather input to drive marketing decisions Partner with the pricing team to develop sound pricing strategies Develop and maintain product forecasts with demand, supply, and operations teams Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape Oversee creation of marketing materials, campaigns, and content that communicate value propositions Provide technical product support to the commercial team in the field and offices to ensure customer satisfaction Support industry meetings and events, on-site customer meetings and labs, national sales meetings, and other strategic meetings What you will need to be successful

BS degree (preferably Marketing or Business) with 10+ years of experience Team player with strong collaboration across functions Excellent leadership and people management abilities Strong marketing skills with a proven track record of successful campaigns and value propositions Experience executing downstream activities in the US market Surgeon and KOL management capabilities In-depth knowledge of the orthopaedics industry, including market trends and key players Analytical skills to interpret market data, assess campaign performance, pricing strategy, and make data-driven decisions Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration Strategic thinking and problem-solving to navigate marketing challenges Ability to influence cross-functional colleagues without direct authority Willingness to roll up sleeves and contribute beyond core responsibilities Travel Requirements

The actual base pay offered will depend on factors including knowledge, experience, location, and equity. In addition to base pay, Smith+Nephew offers a competitive bonus and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, and generous PTO plus volunteer time.
