Marketing Director - US Knee at Smith+Nephew. The US Primary Knee Marketing Director is responsible for making an impact in the US Knees market and advancing Smith+Nephew’s portfolio and pipeline. The role plans and drives downstream marketing strategies and tactics to drive sustained revenue growth in the Knee Reconstruction Market. The Director will work closely with Sales Teams, Global Marketing, Medical Education, Sales Training, and Supply Chain to build and execute marketing strategies and drive commercial execution for the primary knee business. The ideal candidate will have strong marketing experience, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the orthopaedics industry. This position supervises a team of two direct reports and is highly visible internally and externally, fundamental for the growth of the organization. What will you be doing? Develop and execute knee marketing strategies aligned with Smith + Nephew business and growth objectives Develop, guide, and drive go-to-market plans for assigned product lines including promotions, medical education, digital marketing, channel readiness, inventory requirements, and allocation Lead, mentor, and manage a team of marketing professionals, ensuring alignment with company goals Develop a deep understanding of the knee reconstruction market landscape to shape our go-to-market approach Build and supervise KPIs for the primary knee portfolio in the US and lead remediation to drive deeper market penetration Support annual business planning with global marketing, sales management, medical education, sales training, digital, and supply planning Lead product lifecycle management strategies and product obsolescence initiatives Partner with sales to define targeting, develop physician champions, and gather input to drive marketing decisions Collaborate with pricing to develop sound pricing strategies Develop and maintain product forecasts with demand, supply, and operations teams Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape Oversee creation of marketing materials, campaigns, and content to communicate value proposition Support the commercial team with technical product support in the field and at corporate offices Support industry educational meetings, on-site customer meetings and labs, national sales meetings, and other strategic meetings What will you need to be successful? BS degree (preferably Marketing or Business) with 10+ years of experience Team player with ability to drive cross-functional collaboration Strong leadership and people management abilities with experience in developing a team Proven marketing skills with a track record of successful campaigns and value propositions Experience executing downstream activities in the US market Surgeon and KOL management capabilities In-depth knowledge of the orthopaedics industry, including market trends and key players Analytical skills to interpret market data, assess campaign performance, pricing strategy, and make data-driven decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with partners Strategic thinking and problem-solving to navigate marketing challenges Ability to influence cross-functional colleagues without direct authority Willingness to "roll up sleeves" to perform at all levels and assist beyond core responsibilities Travel Requirements:

Final base pay depends on factors including knowledge, experience, location, and internal equity.
