Overview
Senior User Experience Researcher at densu (Merkle). You will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of digital products and services by uncovering deep user insights. You’ll lead research initiatives across complex transformation projects, helping clients understand their users’ behaviors, motivations, and pain points. Your work will inform design decisions, product strategy, and innovation efforts across industries. You will collaborate closely with designers, strategists, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that user needs are at the heart of every solution. This role requires a strong foundation in qualitative and quantitative research methods, a passion for storytelling through data, and the ability to influence decision-making at all levels. Lead research initiatives across complex transformation projects to uncover deep user insights and inform design decisions, product strategy, and innovation efforts. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field. 6+ years of experience conducting UX research in a consultancy, agency, or non-agency enterprise environment. Demonstrated experience leading research across the full product lifecycle—from discovery to validation. Strong portfolio or case studies showing impactful research outcomes and methodologies. Proficiency with research tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, Dovetail, or similar platforms. Capabilities & Skills
Research Strategy & Planning: Define research goals, select methods, identify participants and incentives, and align with business objectives. Mixed Methods Expertise: Qualitative (interviews, ethnography) and quantitative (surveys, analytics) techniques. Insight Synthesis & Storytelling: Turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence design and strategy. Stakeholder Engagement: Present findings, lead workshops, and build consensus across teams. Ethical & Inclusive Research: Inclusive design principles and ethical practices across diverse populations. Data Analysis Tools & Capabilities
Survey & Analytics Platforms: Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Google Analytics, Hotjar. Statistical Analysis: Identify patterns, correlations, and trends in user behavior. Data Cleaning & Preparation: Prepare raw data for analysis with accuracy and consistency. Visualization & Reporting: Create visuals and dashboards for technical and non-technical audiences. Data Analysis Tools: Excel, SPSS, R, Python (Pandas, NumPy), Tableau or Power BI. Additional Information
Salary: $78,000 - $126,500 per year. Placement within the range depends on experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors as permitted by law.
