Our team is working with a well-established wealth advisory firm in Boston that is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This individual will play a key role in overseeing the firm’s accounting and finance functions, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, treasury operations, and supporting various HR-related functions. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the SVP of Finance & Accounting, working closely with the COO and leadership team.
Key Details This role is a full-time, hybrid position (4 days in, 1 at home) that will offer up to $100K base, up to 15% bonus & strong benefits.
Responsibilities
Process accounts receivable and accounts payable
Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date close processes
Research and analyze income statement accounts
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, members’ equity, and cash flow)
Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee daily treasury operations
Support HR functions including benefits, FSA, 401(k), and payroll administration
Collaborate with tax preparers to resolve state tax notices
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end processes
Support external audit and tax requests
Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and firm KPI analysis
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
3+ years of accounting experience (public + industry a plus)
Familiarity with ADP payroll systems a plus
Experience with Microsoft Business Central preferred
Proficiency in QuickBooks (online and desktop)
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
