The West Region Dams and Reservoirs team of AECOM is actively seeking a motivated, creative, highly talented Structural Engineer Discipline Lead with risk analysis experience in the dams and hydraulics structures industry to telecommute employment for the Denver, CO office. The dams and reservoirs team within the Water Business Line provides engineering and design services for multidisciplinary projects, focused on water storage and hydropower dam projects, and also supports tailing dams projects with the Mining Department. Responsibilities

Technical: Coordinate structural engineering technical aspects of pursuits and projects with other disciplines and in support of other project/design managers. Technical: Ensure QA/QC procedures are implemented and the technical quality of deliverables is maintained. Technical: Lead responses to client comments on structural design elements of deliverables. Technical: Ensure structural designs comply with contractual obligations, applicable standards, and design documents; confirm review and approval prior to release to client. Technical: Incorporate innovation in design and delivery; support groups of engineers, designers and/or specialists with development of structural design documents and contract deliverables. Technical: Manage and provide technical support for structural analyses such as 2D and 3D finite element analyses of concrete gravity dams, curved gravity dams, arch dams, and other hydraulic structures (e.g., intake towers, spillways, spillway gates). Technical: Prepare structural reports, drawings, and specifications for water storage and hydropower dams. Technical: Prepare and present technical presentations to project teams, clients, and technical review boards. Technical: Perform dam safety inspections. Technical: Participate in potential failure mode analyses and risk analyses for water storage and hydropower dams, including identifying and developing failure modes, serving as recorder/subject matter expert/facilitator in risk analysis workshops, estimating risk, and documenting reports. Technical: Train, mentor, and develop staff; support career growth opportunities for staff. Project Management: Interface with project teams, clients, and subcontractors through progression of design deliverables. Project Management: Prepare structural engineering proposals; assist in establishing structural scope, work plan, and work schedules. Project Management: Support marketing coordination and proposal preparation; participate in proposal interviews. Project Management: Comply with the company’s safety awareness program and policies. Project Management: Manage budgets, provide client updates, and perform general project management tasks. Project Management: Anticipate potential budget and schedule impacts and initiate plans for alternative actions. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Professional Engineer license. Additional Information

Sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this position. Relocation is available for this position. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $135,000 to $235,000.
